in Memmorium

Endowments, mostly for scholarships, were established by a member of the Pine Meer Foundation and the Schott family in the names of various relatives, including:

William C. & Lucia R. Schott Medical Scholarship
at the University of Cincinnati  (UC) College of Medicine:

Approximately $20,000 annually.

These funds are for a recipient every other year and for each year for their 4-year degree.  Consequently, this results in grants of about $10,000 a year, or a total of $40,000 for each recipient. Preference is given to those who graduated from high schools on the West Side of Cincinnati, graduates from UC that were members of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and graduates from Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU).

Virginia E. Schott Design Scholarship
at the UC College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP):

Approximately $10,000 annually.

Each year about $5,000 is awarded to an entering Freshman, who is eligible for another $5,000 as a Sophomore. (Because this is a co-op program, the student should have earnings from their work after their second year to pay most of their remaining tuition expenses.) Preference given to a graduate from a high school on the West Side of Cincinnati or Kenton County, KY.

Louis L. Schott Graduate Business Scholarship

at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business

Approximately $10,000 annually.

Preference is given to UC and OWU graduates.

Louis L. & Virginia E. Schott Summer Study Abroad Program

at Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU):

Approximately $5,000 annually.

The Albert and Myrtle Erhardt Pedagogy Endowment

At the UC College Conservatory of Music (CCM):

Approximately $5,000 annually.

Needed equipment was purchased for the pedagogy (piano/keyboard) classrooms that were named for the parents of Virginia Schott, Albert and Myrtle. Additionally, an endowment was created to continue to upgrade the classroom equipment in the future.

Note: For more information, please contact the respective university.
